The two-day event, held under the theme “Caspian Sea: A Bridge of Friendship and Regional Development,” opened this morning with the attendance of senior officials from Iran and several Caspian littoral regions. The summit, initiated by the Islamic Republic of Iran, brings together delegations from nine foreign regions and five Iranian provinces.
 

The gathering aims to deepen regional cooperation, expand economic engagement, and enhance coordination on sustainable development and environmental protection across the Caspian basin—the world’s largest closed body of water.
